AcceleratorLocal — a local crash logger for CS2 servers

Engine (base): MetaMod:Source (C++). Installs without CounterStrikeSharp.

Software type: diagnostics / debugging (crash logger) / system failure logging.

Purpose: catches server crashes, creates minidumps (.dmp) and decodes them locally to reveal the exact cause of the crash.

Author: komashchenko

AcceleratorLocal is an essential diagnostics and debugging tool for Counter-Strike 2 game servers that runs directly on MetaMod:Source. If your server shuts down unexpectedly or goes into a restart loop, finding the culprit "blindly" among dozens of installed extensions is nearly impossible. This plugin solves that problem completely.

🚀 Key features:

Local decoding: unlike older logging systems that had to send dumps to third-party web services, this plugin does absolutely everything locally on your hosting.

Line-by-line stack trace: the generated report shows the detailed chain of events before the crash. You immediately see the exact line with the problem library (for example, plugin_module_name.so + 0x12345), which points straight at the buggy plugin.

Huge time savings: find the exact cause in a couple of minutes — whether it's a broken custom skin, a critical map bug or an error in a specific CounterStrikeSharp / MetaMod plugin.

🧱 Important dependencies:

To integrate correctly with the operating system, MetaMod itself is required:

➔ MetaMod:Source (a fresh Master dev branch is recommended) — https://www.metamodsource.net/downloads.php?branch=master

📂 Official project resources:

➔ Main AcceleratorLocal repository on GitHub: https://github.com/komashchenko/AcceleratorLocal

🛠️ Installation and finding the logs:

1. Make sure your server already has a current, working MetaMod installed.

2. Open the Releases section of the official repository on GitHub and download the archive for your operating system (Linux or Windows).

3. Unpack the archive into the game server's root directory at:

game/csgo/

4. Make sure all extension files end up exactly at:

game/csgo/addons/AcceleratorLocal/

5. Start or restart the game server. The plugin automatically hooks into the operating system's signal handling.

6. Where are the crash logs? If the game server crashes, the decoded text logs and the minidump files are saved in:

game/csgo/addons/AcceleratorLocal/logs/

7. To find the cause, open the newest .txt file in that folder, scroll to the call stack section and see which plugin or module caused the segmentation fault.
