Levels Ranks is a legendary, fully native rank and experience system for Counter-Strike 2 servers, written in C++ to run on MetaMod:Source. The plugin's ecosystem is modular by design, which guarantees high performance without extra server load.

💡 Why it is split: the core and the modules

Levels Ranks is built from two independent parts. The core on its own handles only technical background logic: it creates and maintains the database (local or remote), constantly tracks key player actions during a match (kills, deaths, assists, planting or defusing the bomb) and adds or subtracts experience (XP).

For players to actually see their progress, interact with statistics and get rewards, you must download and install the dedicated extension modules.

🧱 Which modules are in the cs2-lvl_ranks_modules repository?

The author's official module list has separate plugins for each specific task. You can tailor your setup by picking only what your project really needs:

• Chat and tags: modules that automatically show the player's current rank/title as a text prefix before their nickname in the game chat.

• Interface (HUD / menu): modules that show progress, XP and rank right on the player's screen (in the HUD), and print detailed stats tables via console and chat commands.

• Top players: a separate script that handles the classic !top command in text chat or a custom server menu to show the season's best players.

• Restrictions and bonuses: helper modules that can automatically grant VIP features, unlock unique weapons/skins at a certain level or, the other way round, temporarily restrict content for newcomers.

⚠️ Important notes on installing and updating:

1. Before installing or updating any module, always make sure the base cs2-lvl_ranks core and the cs2-menus extension (required for the interfaces) are updated to the latest versions on your server.

2. Download the compiled core and module files only from the official Releases section of the respective GitHub repositories.

3. Keep an eye on Valve's Counter-Strike 2 patches: if a game update affects or breaks the in-game chat or HUD elements, you will need to update not only the statistics core but also the specific modules that use those mechanics.
