1.1 This Policy sets out how personal information of ServUp users is processed and protected, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1.2 We respect your privacy. As a non-profit project based in Germany, we do not collect data for advertising or commercial use.

2 What Data We Collect

Data you provide voluntarily:

• Email address (for contact and access recovery).
• Username / login.
• Discord ID or other messenger ID (for verifying access to services).

Technical data (collected automatically):

• IP address (stored temporarily, solely for security and abuse prevention).
• Browser type and operating system (to optimize site performance).

We do not collect data on your in-game achievements, Steam purchase history, or the contents of files on your device.

3 How Data Is Used

The information we collect is used exclusively to:

• Identify users and grant access to configured servers/perks.
• Provide technical support and process requests through the ticket system.
• Maintain system security (preventing multi-accounting, DDoS protection).

4 Your Rights (GDPR)

Under EU law, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate information in your profile.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so, open a ticket titled "Data Deletion."
• Restriction of processing — pause the use of your data while a dispute is being reviewed.

5.1 We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect data in transit.

5.2 Passwords are stored in encrypted form (hashed).

5.3 The site uses cookies only to maintain your login session. No third-party trackers (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) are used.

6 Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy. Significant changes will be accompanied by a notice to users. Continuing to use the site after changes are published means you accept the new version.
